MISSIONS AT FUMC

FUMC understands the importance of its missional approach to faith. As we are called to understand and embrace Jesus’s messages, connections, preaching and commandments, we are called first of all to serve our neighbors. All of them. In whatever ways we can. Every day. Our missions are our testimony, and our testimony breathes life into faith.
Jesus modeled a life of mission work, providing for the least and the lost by Listening, Healing, Serving and Sharing. We are called to do the same. The global pandemic has brought unique challenges in our ability to provide outreach. We have chosen, however, to be intentional about being in mission during these challenging times.

The needs of the world are great, and the opportunities to offer support are endless. At First United Methodist Church, we prioritize our financial support of missions based upon our local connection to outreach ministries such as Hope Center, The Women’s Center, The Food Pantry of Waukesha County, Rooted and Rising, and Pathfinders. In addition, we support those regional, national and global ministries that are recognized by the United Methodist Church as having the highest standards of accountability and reliability. Every United Methodist mission organization receives 100% of each donation to be used directly for the ministry and relief efforts because the overhead and administrative costs are funded through other giving by local churches.  Click on the logos below to learn about these amazing organizations working in our community and learn how you can help.
